If an item was purchased despite your expectation that it should be blocked by purchase restrictions, you can investigate the specific restrictions in place for that item and customer within the main SMX system.
Here's how to check:
- Check the Item's Restrictions: Navigate to the Item page within the SMX system and select the Purchase Restrictions Tab. This will display the specific restriction code assigned to that item.
- Check the Customer's Restrictions: Go to the Customer page and choose the Purchase Restrictions Tab. This tab lists all the purchase restrictions that apply to that customer.
How to determine if the item should have been blocked:
Compare the item's restriction code (found on the Item page) with the list of restrictions on the Customer's Purchase Restrictions Tab.
- If the item's restriction code is visible in the customer's purchase restrictions, then the item should have been blocked from purchase.
- If the item's restriction code is not visible in the customer's purchase restrictions, then the item was not restricted for that customer and could be purchased.
